PostSubject: Minecraft Classic, Survival, and Forum Rulebook   Tue Feb 14, 2012 12:16 pm

The following are a set of rules outlined by myself and tweaked by the Administration of this community:
Failing to adhere to these rules will result in punishment.

CLASSIC SERVER RULES

1. No Griefing
Griefing defines a situation where players destroy, alter or build on other players’ constructions. For example,
destroying someone’s log cabin is categorized as griefing. This is punishable
by de-ranking, temp-bans, or permanent bans.

2. No 1x1 Towers
We highly recommend the use of the /fly command which allows players to fly around to build constructs that are
out of reach. Building random towers, and leaving them there, is highly frowned
upon and can lead to warnings and temp-bans.

3. No Random Tunneling
When a player digs random tunnels, it is classified as griefing even though you are not destroying other players’
builds. This is because they are defiling the map and making it less playable
on.

4. Respect all players, especially admins
Insulting players, their ideas, their builds, and being overall mean can lead to serious
punishments. We strive for a better environment for players, and this includes
name-calling, threats, spam, flaming, and building disrespectful builds.

5. Limit swearing
As stated before, our servers try to be as clean as possible, so cursing should be
limited and always censored. Using symbols or numbers to substitute for letters
does not count. Use of graphic sexual, racial, age slander is prohibited.

6. Use of English in the chat is strongly recommended.

7. Build a respectable distance away from other players’ builds in case they wish to expand.

8. Do not ask for a higher rank without proving your merit with builds.
This will severely lower your chances of being ranked. If you wish to
apply for a rank, apply on the forums for ExpGuest or higher.

SURVIVAL SERVER RULES

1. No Griefing
Griefing
defines a situation where players destroy, alter or build on other
players’ constructions. For example, destroying someone’s log cabin is
categorized as griefing. This is punishable by de-ranking, temp-bans, or
permanent bans. Note: this also
includes setting things on fire or using TNT to explode things.

2. Respect all players, especially admins
Insulting players, their ideas, their builds, and being overall mean can lead to serious
punishments. We strive for a better environment for players, and this includes
name-calling, threats, spam, flaming, and building disrespectful builds.

3. Limit swearing
Our servers try to be as clean as possible, so cursing should be limited and always
censored. Using symbols or numbers to substitute for letters does not count.
Use of graphic sexual, racial, age slander is prohibited.

4. Use of English in the chat is strongly recommended.

5. The server is PvP, meaning players can kill each other.
Though towns can dictate PvP within their borders, players are allowed to harm and
kill each other. Therefore, use caution when interacting with other players in
unprotected areas. Do not whine if someone kills you and takes your stuff.

6. Do not ask for a higher rank without proving your merit with builds.
This will severely lower your chances of being ranked. If you wish to apply for a
rank, apply on the forums for ExpGuest or higher.

FORUM RULES

1. Do not disrespect other players by spamming,
flaming, debating about topics irrelevant to this forum, swearing excessively,
or using sexual and/or racial slander.

2. Stay on-topic, especially for rank applications.
